Time Tunnel
Explore this immersive lighting case study where 6,000 JUXUANLED pixel lights with breakpoint resume technology created a reliable, synchronized time tunnel in Thailand.
Over the years, I've learned that the most ambitious creative visions require technology that is not just powerful, but exceptionally reliable. In 2020, a long-term partner in Thailand approached us with a truly exciting concept: to build an immersive "Time Tunnel" at a major tourist destination. The goal was to captivate visitors with a dynamic, flowing light show that also synchronized perfectly with adjacent pillars.
The Challenge: Ensuring Flawless Synchronization and Reliability
For an installation of this scale—6,000 individual light points—the two biggest technical hurdles are synchronization and reliability. The client needed a solution where every single light worked in perfect harmony to create the tunnel effect. More importantly, they needed assurance that if one light in the chain failed, it wouldn't cause a catastrophic failure for the rest of the installation. The show must always go on, especially in a popular tourist area.
Our Solution: Intelligent and Versatile Pixel Lights
We specified our 3cm Ball Pixel Lights for this project. These DC12V, 0.72W lights were perfect for creating a dense, high-impact visual field with a 15cm spacing. The key feature that made them ideal for this application is their breakpoint resume signal technology. This intelligent design means if one pixel light malfunctions, the data signal bypasses it and continues to the next, ensuring the rest of the display remains fully operational.
Furthermore, the product offered the exact flexibility the client needed. When connected to a DMX controller, our team could program completely custom, synchronized effects for the client. For simplicity or as a backup, the lights also come with over 30 built-in effects that can run automatically without an external controller.
Results: A Captivating and Robust Attraction
The 6,000 pixel lights were installed to form a brilliant, animated tunnel that has become a highlight of the scenic area. The synchronization with the surrounding pillars was seamless, creating a cohesive and deeply immersive environment. Thanks to the breakpoint resume technology, our partner has a visually stunning attraction that is also incredibly robust and easy to maintain, solidifying a partnership built on trust and technical excellence.
